About the Program
The current Israeli-Hamas war has tested the countries involved as never before, roiled Israel’s long-time alliance with the US, and enflamed passions across the region and beyond.
In response, we’re privileged to present Glenn E. Robinson, award winning teacher, scholar and writer, who, with Gaza and the Future of Israeli-Palestinian Relations, will pull back the curtain on this tragedy.
With national, religious and ethnic passions in play, questions abound: how have domestic Israeli politics entangled its war strategy? What of the hostages? The Palestinians? The place of Hamas? The war’s long-term impacts on US foreign policy? Whither US standing in the region and beyond?

About Dr. Glenn Robinson
Dr. Robinson earned his B.A, M.A. and Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, and studied at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He is an Affiliate with the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Berkeley and a Fellow at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA,
Glenn E. Robinson has authored four books and innumerable articles; his work has been seen recently in Foreign Affairs, The Washington Post, Toronto Star and Monterey Herald.
Dr. Robinson’s current book, “Global Jihad: A Brief History,” from Stanford University Press, has been hailed as “brilliant,” and was granted Foreign Affairs’ Best-Book Award.
With his deep knowledge of international conflict and focus on the Middle East, he has served as an expert advisor to USAID and the US Department of Defense.
