With
Futurist Dr. Peter Bishop

About the Program
We all look to the future -- some with more optimism than others. But how do we think about what may lie ahead, whatever the areas -- world events, climate change, domestic issues, artificial intelligence, the renewed possibility of nuclear war? The stakes are high indeed!
In July we’ll welcome Dr. Peter Bishop, the highly-regarded scholar, writer and lecturer on Futures Studies – a discipline founded decades ago but only now coming into its own. With Autocracy Vs Democracy: How to Anticipate and Prepare for the Future, Dr. Peter Bishop will focus on Future Study techniques, and one particular area he feels very strongly about – the threat of autocracy around the world, and what democracies must do in response.
Dr. Bishop’s says: “Learning about the future is important. That’s been my life’s work.” With his talk, we should be better prepared to navigate important issues, and be more able to imagine and create our preferred future.
Given the timeliness of the issue, we expect a full house for this all-important program. Be sure the come with your questions.
