National Security

Associate Research Professor of Public Policy
at the University of California, Berkeley

About the Program

How secure is our future? Is artificial intelligence a threat or a manageable tool? AI is reshaping the global conflict and security landscape, so it’s vital that we understand coming changes in military operations, intelligence analysis, and safety.

In his talk, Arms and Algorithms: The Future of Artificial Intelligence in War and Peace, UC Berkeley’s Dr. Andrew Reddie explores the implications of AI for warfare, deterrence, and international stability. His focus will be on decision-support systems, autonomous weapons, ethical dilemmas and yes, all-important guardrails.

Professor Reddie will unpack how AI is already being integrated into national defense strategies, both here and abroad. And what this means for global norms, conflict, and safety. In short, what it means for us.

Members and Guests, please pre-register for this event. Remember, we cannot accommodate walk-ins.
