The World Affairs Council of Sonoma County is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nongovernmental organization that provides a forum offering different points of view, insights, understanding and awareness of the world we share. Established in 1988, the Council offers its members the opportunity to become more informed of matters of national and international significance.
Membership privileges include:
Evening and luncheon programs that present recognized authorities in government,
nongovernmental organizations and academia to discuss foreign-policy issues and other matters of international interest.
Members enjoy the social benefits of sharing and discussing common interest in world affairs at speaker meetings, the annual members dinner and also at the annual picnic
Book Groups within the Council are offered so members will gain a better understanding of international issues through reading and discussion.
“Perspectives”, the Council’s quarterly newsletter, has been merged into the WACSC website which allows it to be kept up to date. WACSC.org is where you will find information on current and future programs as well as activities of the Council such as the Book Group and links to other World Affairs Councils.
